上海2013年12月2日电 /美通社/ -- 巨人网络集团有限公司（纽交所交易代码：GA）（以下称“巨人”或“公司”），是一家中国领先的网络游戏开发商和运营商。今天宣布其董事会已于2013年11月26日成立特别委员会来评估在2013年11月25日收到的来自公司董事会主席史玉柱先生及霸菱亚洲投资（Baring Private Equity Asia）（以下称“霸菱”）的一个附属公司提出的非约束性私有化要约（以下称“要约”）。特别委员会由公司三位独立董事组成，分别为Peter Andrew Schloss先生、阎焱先生以及江南春先生。自成立以来，特别委员会一直在对法律和财务顾问进行甄选和评估，并已聘任Fenwick & West LLP作为其美国法律顾问。特别委员会仍在对财务顾问进行甄选和评估，以协助评估要约。此外，公司已聘任Kilometre Capital作为其外部战略顾问。
